Meet Sherry Grancey, Boston Based Real Estate Broker/Realtor
Sherry has been active in Real Estate for the past 20 years focusing on historic and waterfront properties in Boston, the surrounding suburbs, southern New Hampshire, the Falmouth/Waquoit area on the Cape, and the island of Martha's Vineyard.
Sherry pioneered the sales of upscale real estate in Charlestown. She opened her own Real Estate office in the 1990's evolving it into one of the largest and most successful boutique firms in the area. The business grew rapidly with the renovations of brownstones, single family homes, the conversion of multifamilies to condominiums and the robust development of Waterfront homes specifically in the Navy Yard and Boston Harbor.
Her Company was chosen by, and then acquired in 2008 by Gibson Sotheby's International Real Estate. Sherry welcomed this opportunity to provide her clients access to the multimillion dollar marketing and worldwide exposure of the Sotheby's Auction house brand recognition now expanded to the real estate sector. Sotheby's reputation of excellence, and customer care far exceeds any of its competition.
One of Sherry's favorite courses she participated in during her business and legal graduate studies was a course taught by a renowned Harvard professor titled " The Art of Negotiation."
"I was able to combine my personal entrepreneurial, marketing skills with professional, true, tried and tested philosophies of the negotiating tools and art needed to bring parties with opposite, conflicting interests to the closing table."
Sherry now focuses on her many clients including seasoned real estate investors, repeat and new buyers and sellers and her many referrals from satisfied customers who rely on her 20 years of knowledge and experience, exceptional service, loyalty and a wealth of marketing and negotiating skills finely honed during her career.
Having been through multiple economic cycles throughout the years has infused Sherry with a knowledge and comfort in today's changing real estate and fluctuating markets.
She has been quoted in many newspapers and magazines throughout the years giving her opinions on real estate, legal and ethical matters in such publications as Boston Magazine, the Boston Globe, Boston Homes and other media. She served as the President of her condo association at Flagship Wharf for 5 years and was responsible for the oversight of a multimillion dollar, 200 unit luxury, waterfront condominium building.
